Everyday, I will come back here and write down three positive things I thought, did or said today.
Hey: Did you know that when you smile at a random passerby 75% of them will smile back - lets aim to increase that number!
Without further ado - let the blogging begin!
1. Today I was sick, so I stayed at home. But I created this blog, so. . .ta da! Positive point one!
2. I stayed optimistic, and decided that staying at home = free time.
3. Well I felt a bit better later on, so I went to work, I'm a waitress. I smiled at customers, and tried not to be too crabby :)
In fact, I got a few compliments like, "Thank-you for the service," and "Thanks for looking after us! Have a good night!" and even a "How are you feeling today?" from one regular.
(For that last one it was early on in the night so I might have still looked a little peaky. . .or it could have been that I have light skin anyway!)
Okay, so you might not find these writings extreme and inspirational and moving right now. But this blog is still in it's early days. . .day. Just wait 'til tomorrow - I'll blow you all away with my optimism and positive actions!
Wait, it's the weekend. Meh, I'll invite Gus-gus over to catch up on some Castle episodes together instead. Then I'll ambush him with my happiness!

"The optimist sees the rose and not its thorns; the pessimist stares at the thorns, oblivious to the rose." - Kahlil Gibran
Why shall we aim to increase that number?? Can't you just leave people alone in their happy worlds!? :/
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm sure I will be very inspired. :)
Ahh, but I'm an observant pessimism, I see everything, but I just decide to ignore the rose since it wasn't worth the thorns.
